Wed, June 24, 2009 - 3:16 AMI was at the exit in the 70's now and again. My dad was a chess player and used to bring me a long. I started going on my own in the mid 80's.

Re: The Last Exit 40 Years Ago
Fri, December 11, 2009 - 9:49 PMIn the 70's I played chess and drank tea. My girlfriend introduced me to the best orange-spice tea I ever had at the time. I sat with the veterans in the front right (southwest side). We played chess there! Your Dad and I probably played chess a time or two. I often brought my son with me. He was born in 1976 & he was just more than a toddler. I was back in the late 80's; and early 90s while in grad school. It was fun watching you all grow up. I was there when Irv passed; and when the Exit moved up to University. I was around when it closed.
