Howdy y'all...I've been checking in on this site but didn't know how to post stuff, join the tribe and communicate. I've been hanging out in Buzios, Brazil halftime, for the last five years. Been learning Portuguese, partying in Salvador, found a great gallery to handle my work and hope to move there, Salvador, in 2008. People have tried to ask everyone they know who knew you if they have had any word.. We all know you move in mysterious ways, but, you have to remember, you are a part of all of our cultural identity. We have missed you. I thought you might like to know.... I need to check tribe more often!

Eddie Walker...some art world news
Wed, March 12, 2008 - 1:35 PMEddie's portraits of Frederick Douglass and Sojourner Truth that normally hang in the Douglass-Truth Library on Yesler are currently down for cleaning. But once they are back up, I recommend that any of you who haven't seen them drop by there for a look. These are probably the best examples of his work in a public place in Seattle.
By the way, now that the Northwest African American Museum has opened: I was a little surprised to see so little on African American artists there. For the next year or so there is a great exhibit of Jacob Lawrence & James T. Washington, but that's about all. We should lobby for a retrospective of A-A artists currently working in the region, which should certainly include our Mr. Walker. -
