Re: Broke bicycles get licked and loved. Unless theyre treks.
Tue, September 11, 2007 - 10:01 PMPlease join us in celebrating--raise a glass and
settle in for good food and good company on a long
October evening.
Date: Saturday, October 13, 2007
Time: 6:32 pm until some passably late hour, when it’s
dwindled to four or five people discussing politics or
an art film or—Enki forbid—the finer points of a role
playing game over a few bottles of Trois Pistoles
Place: Rachel & Matt’s house—4124 N Post, Spokane , WA
99205
Small typey details: consider this invitation extended
to you and yours; kids are welcome (ours will be going
to bed by 10pm). We’ll have a table-full of yummy
comestibles and a varied selection of libations (if
you want to bring something special that’d be lovely).
We can provide sleeping space for out of town guests;
we can also recommend hostelries from budget to swank.
For those of you just joining us, Librafest is an
annual party that we host every year. It started as a
birthday party for a few Libras some fifteen years
back; now it’s a tradition and an excuse for a
get-together (we'll still have a cake with candles for
the Libras in attendance, though).
If you want to be quite continental, RSVP:
elanath at yahoo dot com or 509-328-0366
If you're wondering who we are and why the heck you
got this, here's a handy crib sheet. You might now
Rachel as: co-worker, Apple parent, friend's sister,
cousin (you lose points if you fall into this category
and still needed the help), helpful admin person at
school, Friend of Cat, former student. You might know
Matt as: Bicycle Matt, former co-worker, former
Xiteer, Apple parent, current or former classmate.
Yay! -

Sun, September 16, 2007 - 7:10 PMluckies!
wish i could attend...it'd be so nice to reacquaint myself with the lot of you guys...
it seems as though we've gotten ourselves into another family way...again (hurray! more babies!)...we (i) really wanna make a trek out west...now we need a bigger vehicle.
there is always next year...the New Little One (heretofore referred to as Starbaby until we determine the gender...) will be a few months old...not entirely mobile, but portable enough for long transport....Big Sister on the other hand gets rather antsy at the prospect of being cooped in her car seat for longer than a couple of hours...
train trip, perhaps?
reminds me...i really should update some pics on this badride...myspace takes up way too much of my energies...
else...i hope it's a great and memorable gathering...i'm sure sean will have enough love for everyone there...know i'll be thinkin about you all... -

Re: Congratudolances
Sun, October 14, 2007 - 10:52 AMIt was good. Isreal showed up sans facial hair and looked like he had a good time. Sean did not show. It was a full house here. Probably about 40 people in the house. I'll place some photos up later. -

Re: Congratudolances
Sun, October 14, 2007 - 4:18 PMyeah, I had some family emergency shit pop up concerning my Dad's health...he spent the night in the hospital, so after spending 2 1/2 hours on the phone with my Mom, I was too drained to be social. I had fully intended to be there before that.I wound up going to bed at 11. & then getting up at 2:30 & going back to bed at 4:30. it's been a weird few days.
